Today I wanted to share a family pie recipe that will make you the star of any party you serve it at. It is not only simple to make but it is also delicious! My Witchlet and I make this for almost every party we attend and it is always a hit. For this no bake pie you will need:
1/2 gallon of vanilla or chocolate ice cream
1-2 bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (regular size) The amount of cups you need will depend on the size of the pan you are using
1 bag of Reeses Miniatures Peanut Butter Cups (optional)
Hersheys Chocolate Syrup
1 glass pie dish
To begin let your ice cream sit out for about 15-30 minutes to soften. While your ice cream is softening you will take about 10 peanut butter cups and chop them up to small pieces. This is your crust. Layer them at the bottom of the pie dish. Now take about 6 cups (depending on how big your pie dish is) and cut them in half. These are the sides of the crust. We layer the cups so they overlap a bit. When you are finished take your chocolate syrup and dribble a little along the bottom of the pie crust.
Now put this in the fridge to harden.
When you are ready take your softened ice cream and put it in the pie dish and spread it out so it is smooth. Do it gently as not to move around your cups along the side of the dish.
I place this in the freezer overnight covered gently with aluminum foil.
Now you are ready to decorate the top of your pie in anyway you choose. My Witchlet decorated this one and did a magickal job if I do say so myself. She decided we would cut the miniature cups in half and put this in a circle and then sprinkle the syrup back and forth over the top.
I hope everyone enjoys this recipe and I would love to see pics of anyone who chooses to make this.
Bright Blessings and wishing everyone a wonderful summer!
